JUST
AN AMERICAN BOY
2.00PM
One of the great contemporary songwriters, Steve Earle is
also a free spirited, independent thinker. Here we see both
the man and the intensely committed artist.
Recorded during his last concert tour of America at the point
when Earle became one of the most vilified men in the country
for his stance on the Gulf War.
Among the film’s treats are fabulous renditions of some
of his greatest songs, like ‘Copperhead Road’,
‘Guitar Town’, ‘Come Back Woody Guthrie’
and ‘Jerusalem’.
A film by Amos Poe
