  VINNY PECULIAR

Vinny Peculiar is the Manchester based singer-songwriter and alias of Alan Wilkes christened by UNCUT ‘as the Tony Hancock of pop.’ A former psychiatric nurse and erstwhile poet he writes for several minor publications on the fine art of self destruction whilst creating recordings of great poignancy and self deprecation earning comparisons with the grand duchy of glum himself, Morrissey.

A regular compere on the Glastonbury acoustic stage Vinny has toured with artists as diverse as British Sea Power, Jools Holland and Edwyn Collins. His new album Growing Up with Vinny Peculiar is available now on Shadrack and Duxbury Records.

Vinny will be appearing at various venues throughout the Festival.
