  THE TEARS

Thursday May 5 | Festival Marquee | 9.00pm

So, the greatest British songwriting partnership since Morrissey and Marr is back together and naturally, they wanted to play the Festival.

Named after a Philip Larkin poem, Femmes Damnées, The Tears represent the first fruits of Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler’s musical reunion, the first time the former Suede duo have worked together in over 10 years.

So what to expect? Simply beautiful pop songs, stories of lost love and neon lights, combined with a brazen sexuality and extraordinary musicianship.

The first single Refugees‚ is an instant Anderson and Butler classic. Swaggering and Panoramic, sweet and swooning. With the new album Here Come the Tears‚ on the way, this gig should have enough electricity to light the whole of Belfast.

Tickets £10.00 Available from Belfast Welcome Centre on 028 90246609
