Friday May 9
The John Hewitt 9.00pm
The Henry Girls are Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin, three sisters from Donegal who have recently recorded their impressive debut album ‘Between Us’. Together they play a multitude of instruments including harp, fiddle, accordion, whistles and piano, however it is the inimitable blend of family voices that makes for a unique sound.

Their style of music is refreshingly unique drawing from many different genres including blues, country, traditional and even pop! The album was produced by Maire Breatnach and other guest musicians on the album are Glenties fiddler Denise Boyle, Belfast guitarist Stephen Murray, Eileen McCreese from Newry with added vocals and finally Buncrana drummer Laurence Doherty. It mainly features music written by themselves, as well as some traditional and original tracks by other artists.

The Henry Girls line up includes the three girls along with guest musicians Stephen Murray on guitar and vocals; Laurence Doherty on drums and percussion; Stephen Cleary on bass and Denise Boyle on fiddle and viola.

Tickets £5 Available from the Festival Office on 028 9023 2403
