Pennie Smith is THE name in rock photography. Responsible
for what is commonly accepted to be the greatest rock
photo of all time (the cover of London Calling by The
Clash), her career spans the last 30 years . From punk
to The Strokes, Oasis and The Stone Roses, Pennie has
been responsible for some of the most enduring images
in modern music. This new exhibition, specially commissioned
by the Waterfront and the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival,
brings together a retrospective of her work for the first
time and is quite simply a must see for anyone with even
passing interest in rock music or photography.
