with PHIL KIERAN (LIVE P.A.)
THURSDAY 8 MAY
The Conor Hall, Art College 9.00pm

Performance artist or Perverted Genius ?Paris the Black Fu may be both. Serious energy and fun energy, his teachers, inspirations, without a doubt creativity at its best. He combines these energies with several other of his own personalities to give you the Black Fu. While having all this fun he still managed to have his debut single “Sandwiches,” a huge hit gaining worldwide notoriety. When a Jive Electro A&R man, dutifully out buying records at a local strip club, heard it he immediately knew he had witnessed something special (though perhaps it was the cocktails), and prepared to unleash it on the world. Since then, he / they’ve been mentioned in URB’s next 100, Rolling Stone’s “Top Ten To Watch In 2001,” scored a pop hit in a number of countries and an underground classic worldwide. Since then he / they have been in the studio preparing a new album, starting a label Det.Ele.Funk (Detroit Electro Funk) and compiling a mix CD which is set for release towards the end of the summer.

Tickets £8/£6 available from the Festival Office on 028 9023 2403
