The Cathedral Quarter in association with Bass Ireland are delighted to announce the inaugural Cathedral Quarter Comedy Challenge. On May 10-12 at the Duke of York aspiring comedians are invited to test their wits in a 5-10 minute open mike slot. Of the three contenders every evening, one person will walk away with £250 prize money and an opportunity for a guest slot in the forthcoming ‘Gaggin for Bass’ Comedy Festival in June

Two of Belfast’s best known young(er) actors, Conor Grimes and Alan McKee are increasingly in demand for their surreal take on Ulster, the Six Counties, the Province and the North of Ireland as well as some of the more bizarre manifestations of popular culture.
