Barely a year old and already showing some teeth. Still waking in the middle of the night screaming but less frequently.
One year on and Belfast city centre is finally showing glimpses of what it could become. New bars, restaurants and artspaces and faltering signs of life beyond 5.30pm. For the Festival, the aim remains the same - good, challenging, contemporary theatre, music, comedy, literature, the works…… available to all to be enjoyed and celebrated. As Sam Beckett would have it – we can only try, fail, try again, fail better.
Thanks to all who have shown their support over the last year, we’ve enjoyed tremendous goodwill from funders, performers and audiences and hope it is justified. Enjoy the Festival.
