INVISIBLE

SATURDAY 1 MAY
18-22 HILL STREET 7PM

Invisible is a collaboration between two Northern Irish artists, Glenn Marshall and Hugh McGrory. Working with the scientists at Andor Technologies and using images created by Yale University and the MBC at Queen’s, the artists have employed cutting-edge computer graphics technology to create a video installation which makes the invisible visible.

This project has been commissioned by Dream Ireland under the Arts Council of Northern Ireland’s New Work Scheme.

Duration: 10mins

JOHN MINIHAN

APRIL 29 – MAY 9
THE JOHN HEWITT BAR

John Minihan is perhaps one of Ireland’s most celebrated photographers. His photographs, taken during the course of his work as a press photographer, of Princess Diana, Francis Bacon, Andy Warhol and countless other famous faces became known worldwide.

His friendship with Samuel Beckett produced some of the most remarkable images of that writer. He has published several books including Photographs: Samuel Beckett (1995) and Shadows from the Pale: Portrait of an Irish Town (1996).

The exhibition will be launched on Thursday April 29 at 6.00pm in the John Hewitt with a short talk by John Minihan.
