  DENIS TUOHY
A BROADCASTERS JOURNEY

Wednesday May 4 | Printers Café | 6.30pm

B
orn in Belfast in 1937, Denis Tuohy was the first Catholic newscaster to join BBC Northern Ireland. Moving to London in 1964 he was to cross many frontiers as a reporter and a presenter for Panorama, This Week and many other documentaries covering many of the biggest stories of the past half century.

Reflective, compassionate and spiced with much good humour, Wide-eyed in Medialand is the story of Denis Tuohy’s journey of discovery through the turbulent history of our times. From Orson Welles to Mararet Thatcher, from Muhammed Ali to cult leader Charles Manson’s ‘ family’, from the Shah of Iran to Richard Burton.
