O’DONOGHUES OPERA
(2.00PM)

O’Donoghue’s Opera is officially Ireland’s first film musical. Shot in 1965, it remained uncompleted and unseen until 1997. Starring Ronnie Drew of The Dubliners fame, this whimsical piece incorporates those essential themes of porter, whiskey, music and wit.
Joyce would have been proud!

FLEADH CEOIL
(2.30PM)

Fleadh Ceoil by Louis Marcus, is a documentary on the Kilrush Fleadh Ceoil of 1966. In addition to some great toe-tapping music and energetic dancing, this documentary provides a fascinating insight into country life in the 60s.

SONGS & PINTS (3.30PM)
The final official session of the Fleadh weekend hosted by the irrepressible Joe Mulheron and guest singers including Patricia Flynn, Mick Quinn, Jimmy Gallagher and Maranna McCloskey. Then it’s time for a lie down.
