THURSDAY MAY 6
CONOR HALL 8.00PM
Kevin McAleer was born in Northern Ireland in 1956
for something he didn’t do, ‘I was innocent but
they gave me life’ he claims.
He first dabbled in comedy at the age of 2 when he set fire
to the cat. He has appeared on TV quite a few times and done
other things as well.
He lives on a farm in Tyrone where he now divides his time
between milking the cows and the social security system.
A festival favourite who slayed audiences last year, Owen
returns after a hugely successful Edinburgh run in the stageplay
12 Angry Men and his performance poetry show entitled ‘Stanza
Up Comedy’ (ouch!).
Owen is presently writing a novel about Love, Death and Lifebouy
soap set in the Northern Irish Linen Mills of the 1950’s
and a feature called ‘Billy Boy Blues’ about a
teenage drummer in an Orange flute band who wants to become
a Rock Star.
Tickets £8.00 from the Festival office on 028
9023 2403 and Belfast Welcome Centre on 028 9024 6609
