Born from Glasgow’s legendary underground scene, Optimo (Espacio) remains one of electronic music’s most fearless, respected, and boundary-blurring forces. Following nearly three decades of defining global club culture, JG Wilkes continues the project’s iconic moniker solo, carrying forward the adventurous and fiercely independent approach to curation that made their Sunday night residency a global ritual.
An Optimo set is an exercise in taking risks, reading the room, and stripping away rigid musical restrictions. Wilkes masterfully guides the dance floor through an unpredictable, head-messing cocktail of gritty house, techno, post-punk, EBM, and top-shelf dance floor oddities. This isn’t about playing the obvious routes—it’s a masterclass in sonic discovery where forgotten gems and future-facing cuts sit comfortably in the exact same conversation.
Expect an intimate, sweaty, and high-energy journey designed for music lovers. Come ready to lose yourself.
