One of the biggest artists in Brazilian popular music, Marcos Valle is the main representative of the second generation of the Bossa Nova with hits interpreted by performers such as Astrid Gilberto, Sarah Vaughan, Dizzy Gillespie and Dave Brubeck. Performing with his 6-piece band the programme will feature material from his new album for Universal, Jet Samba.
Marcos Valle is the Renaissance man of Brazilian pop, a singer, songwriter and producer who has straddled Brazil's music world from the early days of the bossa nova craze well into the fusion-soaked sound of '80s MPB. Recently re-mixed by Jazzanova, 4hero and many others - this is simply great, timeless dance music. Let the summer begin!
