A special evening of music by and inspired by the legendary Hank Williams. Hiram "Hank" Williams is one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. His songbook is one of the backbones of country music and his premature death at the age of 29 only served to fuel the legend.
10 Wheels For Jesus, a band ahead of their time and behind with their rent, spent the first half of the 1990's entertaining crowds all over Ireland and further afield with their blend of alternative country music mixed with punk attitude. Tonight they are back together again to pay tribute to Hank Williams to whom their second single Hank Ain't In Hell was dedicated.
The night will be kickstarted with a screening of Honky Tonk Blues, an outstanding documentary on Hank William's life, the Hillbilly Shakespeare who 'taught people its OK to bear your soul in everyday language' |
