Since exploding onto the dance music scene in 1995, DJ and producer Anthony Child has been remoulding his area of contemporary techno.
As well as the hard edginess of American electro and techno, his abundant releases have been equally influenced by early electrosynth innovators like Kraftwerk, Tomita and YMO, and experimental groups like Can, Throbbing Gristle, Faust, and Suicide.
This experimentation has carried over to his DJ performances, and he held a three year residency at Berlin's legendary club Tresor.

Contemporary Surgeon sets are notable for using new technologies, breaking out of the standard format of two record decks and a mixer to embrace cutting edge hardware and software, blurring the line between a DJ set and a live performance.
Oblivious to current trends (although often helping to set them) his work continues to be deep and expressive whilst still wreaking havoc on club dancefloors around the world.
