Rather then ending with our traditional party, this year we're going to open with one in the Festival Marquee with an evening of great honky tonkin', hillbilly pleasure from the days before rock 'n roll.
First band 8.00pm sharp.
THE ROUGH DEAL STRING BAND
Everything Rough Dealplay comes from a passion for and love of old-time music. Featuring Bill Whelan on 5 string banjo, Tim Rogerson fiddle and Ben Keoghon guitar and vocals, these guys are equally at home singing country 'prairie' songs or dark Appalachian mountain ballads.
BEATLEGRAS
The Beatles back catalogue revisited bluegrass style by three of the finest musicians south of the Mason Dixon line. What can we say, what's not to like?

DIRTY BLUES BAND
Don't let the name fool you, this is bluegrass, folk, early rock and roll and trad as imagined by some kind of love child of Earl Scruggs, Hank Williams, Emmylou and John Foggerty.
RATTLE THE BOARDS
Bringin it all back home we have Rattle the Boardsformed by Benny McCarthy from Danu. The sense of fun and lift in the music of Rattle the Boardsmakes them unique among their contemporaries. As their name suggests this group will have its audience on their feet and rattling the floorboards.
JOHNNY BLACK AND THE RUSTY SHACKLEFORDS
The greatest country band in town (featuring members of LaFaro, Saint Dude's, God Talking Souland more)... supergroup ye say? Hell yes.
