Belfast-born Andy is one of the great Irish singer-songwriters. He burst on the scene 21 years ago with his first album Rave on Andy White, and he hasn't stopped writing, touring or recording ever since.
In a special concert for CQAF Andy will present both his first and his latest album Garageband from start to finish. There will be special guests, and his garageband rhythm section from Basel will join him for the second half of the show.
Andy was hailed as "Belfast's Bob Dylan" as he emerged in the new wave of acoustic music headed by The Pogues and Billy Bragg in 1985.

Twenty years and many world tours later, after writing and working with some of the greatest names in the music world - Peter Gabriel, the Finn Brothers, Sinead, Van, Donal Lunny- and living in London, Dublin, Switzerland and now Melbourne, Andy decided to get back to his roots with a new album written in a similar spirit to the first one.
The Belfast concert for CQAF will be the first time Andy has played all of both these albums and a very special occasion for one of the most creative talents to come out of Northern Ireland in the past 40 years.
