There is this tight-knit, ever-expanding circle of John Prine followers. To them his music fills a special void touched only by the likes of Dylan, Kristofferson, Newman or Wainwright. This night celebrates the work that reaches parts other songwriter’s simply can’t.
As an ever evolving arts festival we like to continually reinvent the programme. This is a night that audiences keep demanding, however, so here it is for one final fling.
To commemorate 6 great years of Prine Nights there will be a half-hour open slot (10.00pm-10.30pm) in which you the public can share interpretations of Prine’s work. The best interpretation will receive a special trophy of the event.
Note. The Half-Stoned Cowboys will play a free Festival set in the John Hewitt on Thursday 4 May.
