Hailing from Zimbabwe, The Black Umfolosi 5 are a multi-discipline performing arts group who have made an international reputation for their music and dance. Their dynamic live performances showcase the traditional dancing styles of the Southern African region as well as the more contemporary styles and movements they develop themselves. They offer sweet sounds of acapella with marvellous harmonies and gospel singing as well as captivating dancing including the gumboot dancing of South Africa, often inviting the audience on stage to join in their performance!

A workshop exploring dance and song with The Black Umfolosi 5 will take place on Thursday 27 April at 4.00pm open to all ages and levels of experience, and to individuals and community groups.
