Lydia Lunch first burst on the scene when she founded the short-lived but influential band Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, who featured on the Brian Enoproduced album No New York in 1978.
As a self-avowed “confrontationalist”, Lydia has been described by The Guardian as having “single handedly demolished the argument that music has lost it’s power to unsettle and inform”.
Lydia’s solo career has involved collaborations with musicians such as Nick Cave, Marc Almond, and Thurston Mooreof Sonic Youth. Through music, books, spoken word performances, film, video, photography, poetry and a multitude of creative endeavors, Lydia has proven to be one of the most interesting and daring artists of the current era.
