As ‘The Rare Old Times’ Ken McElroy as Patrick Kavanagh and Oliver Moore as Brendan Behan brought the house down in our 2001 Festival. Now substantially rewritten for their forthcoming Edinburgh Festival appearance, Behan and Kavanagh are at it again….

The action takes place in John Ryan’s famous Bailey Pub in Duke Street, Dublin, where the audience are on-lookers as two of Ireland’s most outrageous and notorious drinkers and literary figures dis-cuss their successes, failures and love lives to date in 1950’s Dublin.

Nostalgia, humour and song flow in equal proportions to the pints, as the cast produce a memorable night’s theatre that will send the audience home with a tear in their eye and a smile on their lips.
