Mar cheiliúradh ar shaol is ar shaothar Roibeaird Mhic Ádhaimh, duine de cheannródaithe athbheochan na Gaeilge sa 19ú haois, tabharfar an léacht bhliantúil ina onóir i Léachtlann William Conor, Ollscoil Uladh.

Ar an ábhar gur 400 bliain ó shin a tharla an plandáil in Uladh, labhróidh an Dr Éamonn Ó Ciardha, Coláiste Mhig Aoidh, Co. Dhoire ar an dóigh a ndeachaigh an phlandáil i bhfeidhm ar an chóras Gaelach ar fud na tíre.

Beidh oíche mhór cheoil le scoth na gceoltóirí tar éis na léachta in McCracken’s Bar ar 9.00 in Joy’s Entry.

The second annual lecture to celebrate and honour the life and work of Robert MacAdam, one of the pioneers of the Irish Language Revival in the 19th Century, will be held in the William Conor Lecture Theatre in the University of Ulster.

For this event Dr Éamonn Ó Ciardha, who is a history lecturer at Magee College, Derry, will give insights on how the Plantation influenced the Gaelic system throughout the country.

The lecture will be followed by an Oíche Airneáil in McCracken’s Bar, beginning at 9.00pm which will feature the best of musicians.
