A Play in a Day is exactly what it says - a group
come together at 10.15 in the morning to create a
play from scratch to put on a public performance at
7.45 in the evening. The style and content will
emerge during the workshop. We need actors (no
previous experience necessary but AmDram
welcome), musicians, props people (please bring
any props you think might be useful) and
stagehands. Come along and have fun and create a
work of art. Invite your friends to the evening
performance.
Ron Wiener is a senior sociodrama trainer with a
worldwide practice. He is a lead tutor in drama at
the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, with
his theatre group, the Sunshine Players. He was
given a lifetime achievement award by the British
Psychodrama Associationin 2008.
