Two of Belfast’s most exciting singing groups invite
you to a glorious explosion of song and spectacle.
Quire (Belfast’s LGBT singers) is a group of singers
from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community
in Northern Ireland. Since forming in 2005, Quire
have performed at many civil partnerships, arts and
community events.
As part of the Outburst festival, they sold-out the
Black Box two years running with Quire’s One Night
Stand and Quire Puts Out. They are delighted to be
joined by singer-songwriter Cat Barter.
Them Noisy Women (formerly Feile Womens
Singing Group) was set up in 2005 by Anna Newell
when she moved to Belfast from Scotland. The
group have gone from strength to strength, singing
at festivals, pubs, community centres, a monastery
and even a bandstand in Bangor, and supporting the
likes of Eddi Reader and Mary Black.
Special guests The Lazy Susans are four women who
sing together despite being separated by the Irish
sea. Carole, Debbie and Sarah live in Dundee and
Anna in Belfast, but they somehow manage to pull
together a varied set of acapella harmonies ranging
from tender Scots ballads to 60’s girl group hits.
