Van Morrison Live at Montreax |

The John Hewitt
Thursday 3 May, 8.00pm |

Morrison's 1973 live album is perhaps the greatest live album of all time. Seven year's later, on the verge of releasing the Common One album, Van took to the famous stage of Montreax Jazz with a top class team of musicians including John Platania, Peter Van Hooke and Pee Wee Ellis. Van's set at Montreux featured the seminal Summertime in England and Haunts of Ancient Peace but also found room for a number of classics from the Morrison repertoire including And it Stoned Me, Ballerina and a triumphant Angelou to finish. Come down, have a pint and savour the experience of 'a workin' man in his prime'.
