THE DONAL O’CONNOR OPENING NIGHT SESSION

Thursday May 5 | Duke of York |8.00pm

Son of the celebrated fiddler Gerry O’Connor and renowned singer Eithne Ní Uallacháin, Dónal O’Connor has inherited a great musical legacy of at least five generations of fiddle playing and countless generations of traditional singing. Equally at home on guitar, Donal is much in demand throughout Europe as one of the finest young proponents of traditional music with a playing style described as “...immaculate…” “...electrifying..” and “…borne out of naked talent and consummate professionalism…” - The Irish Times

This opening session is always a humdinger.
