  COLIN POWELL

Saturday May 7 | Belfast Circus School | 6.00pm

C
olin Powell was born in Harlem to immigrant parents from Jamaica. He knew the rough life of the streets. He overcame a barely average start at school .Then he joined the Army. The rest is history - but a history that until now has been known only on the surface. Here, for the first time, Robin Deacon tells us how it happened, in a memoir distinguished by a heartfelt love of country, family, warm good humour, and a soldier’s directness.

Colin Powell is a lecture piece that throws an ironic spin on the life and times of former US Secretary of State Colin Powell. This filmic performance presents itself as a twisted biography of comparison, exploring the increasingly ‘unnatural’ order of things and some science fiction theories as to why Colin Powell looks and behaves the way he does.

Tickets £5.00 available from Belfast Welcome Centre on 028 9024 6609
