Duke of York 8.00pm
Phils comedy is a unique blend of energy, improvisation
and leaps of imagination that take his audience on a joyride
theyll never forget. Even Phil has no idea what
might happen when he unleashes his crazy brand of improvised
comedy mayhem.
To be at one of Phils shows and expect stand-up
would be a big mistake - anything can happen and invariably
does. Phil launched his stand-up comedy career with a
bang by winning So You Think Youre Funny? in 1989.
Since then, other plaudits he has collected include: a
nomination for the prestigious Perrier Award and the coveted
Best Live Stand-up Comedian of the Year at the British
Comedy Awards. In 1997, the British Comedy Awards nominated
Phil for the Best Television Comedy Newcomer Award for
his Channel 4 Television series Phil Kay Feels..
Phils first love remains live stage work, he tours
Britain constantly and is a firm favourite at the Edinburgh
Festival Fringe, where he performs yearly to sell-out
crowds and critical acclaim. Over the years he has completed
several highly successful tours of Australia, performing
at the Adelaide and Melbourne Festivals. Since then, he
has travelled the length and breadth of the globe administering
his special blend of comedy genius.
