The Lowly Knights
Formed in 2006 as a side project featuring
members of a host of local bands, the Lowly
Knights have quickly become one of the most
talked about local bands in years. With a dozen
members and a taste for spontaneity, the Knights
are often compared to bands such as Broken Social
Scene, the Arcade Fire and Polyphonic Spree,
however their sound has a vibrancy of its own.
Jackson Cage
This Belfast-based 6 piece folk/rock group are
influenced by 60’s and 70’s groups such as The
Band, as well as more contemporary alt. country
bands. Their recently released eponymous album
Jackson Cage, embodies the group’s raw, folk-
driven approach to contemporary rock ‘n’ roll.

Captain Kennedy
Captain Kennedy are a 7-piece folk rock band
from Northern Ireland who doff their hats to the
likes of Bob Dylan, The Band and Ryan Adams, yet
put their own stamp on the genre building up a
solid and loyal fanbase along the way.
Their recent EP Factory Whistle Call is awash with
cracked, rootsy material and has already received airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Radio Ulster.
