Sandy Denny Night feat. Linde Nijland
Though regularly hailed as one of English music’s
finest voices, Sandy Denny’s solo work has never
quite enjoyed the sort of adulation that’s heaped
on her work with Fairport Convention or
Fotheringay (not to mention her cameo appearance with Led Zeppelin). Tonight we want to
celebrate her beautiful, timeless music.
Linde Nijland has been performing for over 15
years, first as part of Ygdrassil, one of Holland’s
top folk groups. With her renditions of Sandy
Denny song material she has recently toured the
UK, Holland & Germany. A new solo album
with a blend of original song material and folk
classics will be released in 2009.
