| | | | Judith leaves Jack, her ex, a desperate message on his answering machine informing him that she has bought a packet of henna and some razor blades in order to either slash her wrists or dye her hair. What’s more, she says, she might be pregnant! However, it is his new partner, Ros, who hears the message and rushes to Judith’s bedsit. An evening of intense emotion ensues in Amy Rosenthal’s subtle black comedy directed by Martin McSharry from Rawlife Theatre Company. This powerful, astutely observed play reveals how love can be experienced as a thing of loss or discovery and how it is in loss that we sometimes discover a truth that would have otherwise evaded us.
