Clowns by Christina Reid is her sequel to Joyriders.
Set on the eve of the first IRA cease-fire in August
1994, it is eight years since the death of Maureen.
The play allows us to see how the much loved
characters of Sandra, Arthur, Tommy and Johnnie
have changed and how the death of Maureen in
1986 has affected their lives. Full of the same
jaunty, tense and often very funny dialogue as
Joyriders this production will be the Irish premier
of the play.
The play is produced by the members ofThe
Company Youth Theatre Group who produced
Joyriders in May 2008 as part of the CQAF.
