BUKOWSKI - BORN INTO THIS |

Directed by John Dullaghan, Born into This is a deeply
engrossing film biography of the famously cranky, hard drinking
writer who died in 1994.
Over the years, the name Bukowski has become synonymous with
drinking and fighting, seedy barrooms, foul-mouthed prostitutes,
low paying jobs and roach-infested hotel rooms. For readers,
Bukowski has come to personify the lower depths of human existence;
in a direct, powerful and very personal style, he writes about
an unthinkable but very real degradation based on his own
life experiences.
Combining interviews with the reminiscences of former drinking
buddies, fellow writers, and his second wife Linda, the keeper
of his flame. Bono, Tom Waits and Sean Penn are among those
who turn up to pay homage.
