Out to Lunch presents a discussion by two writers who consistently challenge the orthodoxies of their respective backgrounds. With a cesation of violence and a newly devolved government, this talk will ask, what are the new narratives that are emerging, socially, culturally and politically.

Malachi O’Doherty is a journalist and broadcaster and author whose work includes I Was a Teenage Catholic and The Telling Year: Belfast 1972.

Glenn Patterson is the author of seven novels, most recently The Third Party. His collection of essays Lapsed Protestant was published in 2006 by New Island Press.

This discussion will be chaired by writer, June Caldwell.
