Martin George Stephenson was born on July 27th 1961 in Washington, Tyne and Wear. He formed The Daintees in the early 1980s with his good friend, bass player, Anthony Dunn.
They released a couple of singles on the Newcastle Kitchenware label before their critically acclaimed debut album Boat to Bolivia. Martin released three brilliant more albums, Gladsome, Humour & Blue, Salutation Road and The Boy’s Heart before disbanding in 1993 when Martin embarked on his solo career.
As a soloist, Martin has recorded approximately twenty albums and is one of the busiest performers in the country, gigging all over the globe with his wonderfully humourous one man show. | | | | | |
