During his all-too-brief time on the planet he had not only transformed forever what it means to be a stand-up comedian (and influenced a generation of pale imitators in the process), but had progressively pushed his art into a realm where philosophy, poetry and righteous ire meet.
Sadly there have been too few since him to take up the mantle.
CQAF is proud and privileged to present one of the last ever performances from a man who was unafraid to take on the establishment as he saw it. In his final year he continued to perform knowing he had little time left to spread his word.
Shot on Nov 17th 1993 at a performance at Igbys in San Francisco, this is the last recorded performance of a man with nothing left to lose, confronting his imminent mortality head on and telling it like it is. | | | | | | | | | | | |
