Celebrating one hundred and twenty one years of
Belfast Central Library.
An exhibition of Photographs, Artwork and
Writing focusing on the special position that this
historic building holds in the memories and
cultural life of the city. Local writer Sam Millar
has spent time as resident artist in the library,
writing his own impressions of the community of
users in the library and collecting stories from the
public.
Contributions to the exhibition come from a wide
range of artists and writers, including Moyra
Donaldson, Ruth Carr, the Shalom Writers Group
the City Tales Storytelling Project and the collected
reminiscences of members of the public.
Writing and Artwork from the exhibition will be
included in a special anthology limited edition, to
be published later in the Spring.
The exhibition runs throughout the Festival in
Central Library.
Funded through Belfast City Council under the
Brighter Belfast Programme. Organised by
Creative Writers Network, Belfast.
