Laura Kibel is unique within the world of object
manipulation & puppet based theatre in that the
“puppets” are flesh and blood: the leading characters
of her shows are played by her feet, knees, hands,
legs and her stomach.
The stories and fables of these shows are original,
comical, satirical and poetic, often with the use of
atmospheric and emotive soundtracks.
Laura Kibel, musician and costume & set designer is
responsible for the making of all the elements for her
show; from the personally composed soundtracks to
the hand made noses, masks, costumes and props
that she uses in her show.
Laura Kibel has performed in the most important
festivals in the world, winning a host of awards. This
will be her first visit to Belfast and a unique taster
for Belfast audiences of what’s in store for them
next year with the very first Belfast International
Puppet Festival.
