After stumbling through a deserted tent he discovers a military greatcoat, the Imperial Bee symbol and a funny shaped hat. He begins to find he is no longer lost. All he needs is ruthless charisma, steely will and a cheese grater. The portrayal of short despots and lofty ambitions sees our clown follow the time worn trail towards absolute power and absolute disaster. Nola Rae brings her boundless imagination together with her unique talent for gesture and expression to produce a glorious comic drama. In a career spanning more than thirty five years, Nola Rae has helped change the landscape of physical theatre inspiring audiences and artists in 65 countries. In 2008, Nola was awarded an MBE for her contribution to drama and mime to add to a creaking mantlepiece. Festival of Fools is delighted to bring one of the world’s finest dramatic clowns to Belfast with her latest epic solo production.
