Norman Lovett was well into his thirties before he decided to be a stand-up comedian.
TV and radio exposure soon followed, although he is best known for his role as Holly in cult sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf.
He's been a regular feature at many of the country's top venues has also appeared in various 'unusual' places, including supporting The Clash in the late 1970s, and supporting S Club 7 in more recent times (yes, really).

He considers himself to be a stand-up comedian who can act a bit, and is yet to appear in a pantomime.
'If you go to only one show at this year's Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival....then don't bother coming to mine, you tight gits!'
