 Shappi Khorsandi

An asylum seeker before it became fashionable,
Shappi is the daughter of an exiled writer and
comic from Iran. From mental illness to opium
dens, it’s all gone on in the Khorsandi household
and now she recounts it all the only way she
knows how, with wit, warmth and hilarity.
Recently you may have seen Shappi on Question
Time, Never Mind The Full Stops, Mock The Week,
The Comedy Store and countless other radio and
TV shows, and she has written and released a
book. In between she flew across the globe and
knocked ‘em dead at the Melbourne Comedy
Festival.
Charming, flirty and feisty, Shappi uncovers the humourous side of dark forces.
