Two men went in search of peace...and found themselves in the process.
It’s 1993 and the future looks bleak for politician Gerry Adams until he hits upon a crazy idea that just might work – peace in Northern Ireland! The concept catches on and Gerry becomes an overnight success; shaking hands, kissing babies and hearing the sound of his own voice again for the first time in years. But there may be Troubles ahead....the Unionists won’t play ball and when Big Ian turns up and Sinn Fein hits a series of public relations disasters, Gerry’s process threatens to disappear down the political plughole.
The Producers meets Stormont in this anarchic musical hit from Dublin Fringe Festival regulars Volta. Written and directed by Liam Hourican and David Crann. In association with Focus Theatre, Dublin.
