This exhibition of new work by Martin Boyle and Lorraine Burrell explores the artists’ playful and performative relationship to the world around them. Martin Boyle assembles objects and images, often poaching already existing items that go unnoticed in our day to day lives. Through absurd conceptual interventions he assigns meaning which comments on himself and society, that may be found poetic. Using a range of hand-made props, Lorraine Burrell’s self portraits are concerned with exploring, transforming and transcending her identity within a range of environments.
