Founding member of the legendary Beta Band and all round electronic folk pop visionary, Steve Mason arrives in Belfast with his third, universally adored solo album Meet the Humans in his back pocket.

Following two decades of producing lush melancholic pocket symphonies in a variety of guises, Mason has made perhaps his most accessible (and, yes, contented) collection of songs to date.

But whatever Mason turns his musical hand to, there’s always that blissed-out sun-dappled-folk-laced-with-old-raver feel that’s remained a constant throughout his remarkable back catalogue.  Ladies and Gentlemen, we are floating with Mason.

“Fans of any of Mason’s earlier projects will find something to love on what is easily the gifted popsmith’s best solo effort to date.” ALL MUSIC

“Meet the Humans is overwhelmed by warmth, dispelling the myth that with tortured darkness comes great art. Both tender–as on the dreamlike Through My Window–and triumphant.” GUARDIAN

“Meet The Humans is not just his best solo release to date, but also arguably the finest album in which he has been involved full stop.” CLASH MUSIC
