 By Jane Coyle

A young woman sits alone in a Paris cafe, watching the life of the street unfolding.  Almost every passer-by seems to have a story.  She has a story too.  Is it about to be revealed?

This monologue was inspired by the plays of Samuel Beckett, as well as by the time the writer has spent in Paris over the years.

It will be read by Hannah Coyle, a professional actress from Belfast, who is currently studying at the Cours Florent École de Théâtre in Paris.

Jane Coyle is an arts journalist and critic.  Her play The Suitcase was premiered in the Belfast synagogue during the 2015 Belfast International Arts Festival and won the Belfast Telegraph Audience Award.

The event will be enhanced with live French music provided by specialist French and Traditional musicians Mark Prescott and Annette Collins. Please see www.markprescott.com for more information.
