The Evening Standard called it ‘a match made in jazz heaven’ – master reed-player Courtney Pine on bass clarinet, accompanied by pianist Zoe Rahman, with beautiful interpretations of timeless ballads. In this intimate duo, they perform a mixture of originals and great songs by Donny Hathaway, Duke Ellington, Chaka Khan and more.

Pine strips everything right back for the most intimate shows of his long and celebrated career as he takes to the stage playing bass clarinet accompanied only by fellow Mercury nominee and MOBO Award winning Pianist, Zoe Rahman. A vibrant and highly individual pianist/composer, her style is deeply rooted in jazz yet it reflects her classical background, British/Bengali heritage and her very broad musical taste.

We are grateful to the Arts Council of Northern Ireland for the loan of the Steinway Grand Piano for the purpose of this event.
