Maeve Mackinnon is one of Scotland’s foremost young Gaelic folk singers. A finalist in the 2005 BBC Radio Scotland Traditional Musician of the Year award, her emotionally communicative vocal talent displays range and dynamics and her warm stage presence has been gaining recognition in the traditional music scene.

Maeve has broadcast numerous times on national radio and has featured in Gaelic music TV series such as Bẹlachin 2004 and Guthan nan Ghàidhealin 2006

Her debut album on Footstompin Records is a mixture of traditional Gaelic, Irish, Scots and Bluegrass. With a deep commitment to preserving the integrity of the songs and an interest in modern beats and accompaniment, Maeve’s album is expected to be groundbreaking.
